Roderick Hunt
The author many of the Oxford Reading Tree stories
When his own sons were young, Rod found it hard to interest them in reading. He sympathised because nothing interesting ever happened in the books they brought home. Rod has remedied this situation in a remarkable way by writing stories where something interesting, funny and believable happens in every one, however short the story. Motivating children to read is not a problem with Oxford Reading Tree.
Rod begins a new story by sitting in a comfortable chair and staring at the ceiling. Visualising the whole story from beginning to end is essential before he begins to write. The visualisation process might take days, but after that the writing is easy.
You can meet Roderick Hunt on the video clips on Oxford Reading Tree MagicPage CD-ROMs.
