Review of Sister Ella by Pippa Goodhart "I really enjoyed this book because it was Cinderella retold in a completely different way. I liked the way that it was told by one of the ugly stepsisters. I think that it was nice to put interesting things about Cinderella in the back of the book." |

Review of Animal Parents by Elspeth Graham "I chose this book because I like wild life. I found this book very interesting, as I did not know certain things to do with animal parents. Having read the book I now know about how scorpion young are carried around for two weeks after they hatch...At first I did not understand what a crèche was even though it was mentioned in the text; the picture showed me what a crèche looked like. I will enjoy looking at this book again." |

Review of Moonfleet by John Meade Falkner "I enjoyed the story because it was adventurous, realistic and was full of danger and suspense. It made me want to keep on reading so that I knew what happened next. I cared about the characters. The pictures were in black and white which I thought was good because it all happened a long time ago and they seemed to make it come alive." |

Review of Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte "I loved reading Wuthering Heights and thought it ended perfectly. The pictures showed the character¹s thoughts and emotions. The pictures are nicely detailed. This book made me want to read some other similar classics because of the way the book was so cleverly written and the pictures gave it a special touch!" |

Review of An Odd Job for Bob and Benny by Nick Warburton "I liked it that there were lots of little exciting bits when you didn't know what was going to happen next. I liked the bit when Bob and Benny didn't understand the note and tried to get a bed for the elephant instead of a shed." |

Review of Messy Ella by Alan MacDonald "I thought this story was great but I wouldn't like to play with Messy Ella because I would get too muddy. I also like the pictures." |

Review of The Lie Detector by Susan Gates "I would love to carry on with the story. I think it was clever to have a lie detector just when you needed it." |
